Speed Call Keys allow you to store external numbers under feature keys for faster dialing. You can press a Speed Call Key to dial a phone number or, during a call, to outpulse DTMF tones.
If a Speed Call Key is pressed after a call enters talk state, there is no limit to the length of the Speed Call number.
If a Speed Call Key is pressed before a call enters talk state, the Speed Call number is outpulsed according to the calling device type.
If a Speed Call Key is pressed during a call and before the Inter-Digit Timer expires, the speed call number is included in the Digits Dialed field of SMDR records.
Speed Call Keys do not override interconnect restrictions.

Speed Call Keys are not applicable to 5001 IP phone, OpenPhones, or Symbol Wireless phones.
Speed call keys can be programmed against available feature keys on SpectraLink Wireless Telephones.
Speed Call numbers are not stored for redial. That is, the number dialed by the Speed Call key cannot be dialed again using the Redial feature.
If a user makes a speedcall "private", the speedcall number is not displayed in the System Administration tool forms.
When a user invokes a private speedcall, the name/number of the called party is not displayed on the calling device.
Program User Speedcall keys. User Speedcall keys cannot exceed 26 digits in length.
The system administrator can also program CDE Speedcall keys on a user's set from the Multiline Set Keys or the Desktop Tool. CDE Speedcall numbers cannot exceed seven digits in length. Users cannot modify CDE Speedcall numbers from their sets.

To dial a Speed Call number:
Lift handset.
Press a Speed Call key.
To store a Speed Call number:
Use the Desktop Tool.
To store a Speed Call number:
Press SuperKey.
Press # until "Personal Keys?" appears.
Press *.
Press a personal key that is not a line key.
Press *.
Do one of the following:
To enter a new number, dial the number.
To enter the last number dialed, press Redial.
Press the personal key again.
Do one of the following:
To make the number private, press *.
To keep the number visible, press #.
Press SuperKey.
To store a Speed Call number:
Press SuperKey.
Press No until "Personal Keys?" appears.
Press Yes.
Press a personal key that isn' t a line key.
Press Change.
Press Yes.
Do one of the following:
To enter a new number, dial the number.
To enter the last number dialed, press Redial.
To clear the existing number, do nothing.
If you want to number to be private, press Priv.
Press Save.
Press SuperKey.
To dial a Speed Call number:
Press the key that you have programmed as your Speed Call key.
To program Speed Call:
Press the Applications (blue) key.
Press Settings.
Press Programmable Keys.
Press a key you wish to program.
Press Speed Call.
Press Edit Label and enter the label for the Speed Call, and then press Save.
Press Edit Number and enter the telephone number for the Speed Call using the hard dial pad.
NOTE: Press the '#' button once to insert the '#' digit. Pressing the '#' button twice inserts the flash character (F).
Press Save, and then press Save again.
Press Close.
To dial a Speed Call number:
Press the key that you have programmed as your Speed Call key.
To program a Speed Call:
Press Menu.
Press Settings.
Press Programmable Keys.
Press a programmable key that isn't a line key.
Press Speed Call.
Enter the telephone number (up to 26 digits) that you want to store for speed calling.
Press Save.
Press Close.
To store a Speed Call number:
Press Settings.
Press More.
Press Speed Call.
Select a Personal Key.
Dial the number.
If you want to make the number private, press Make Private.
Press Save.
Press Phone View.
NOTE: Use the Desktop Tool to assign labels to the associated quick keys.
To program or edit a Speed Call key:
Press the programmable key for the time period specified by the Enable Device Configuration.
In the Label Name field, enter a label to apply to the key using the on-screen keyboard.
Tap the Number field and enter a number using the dialpad keys.
(Optional) Tap the Private checkbox to make the key a Private Speed Call key. When a Private Speed Call key is tapped, the call is considered private and caller ID information is not displayed in the phone’s call history.
Tap the Save softkey to save the information to the key you selected.
To make a speed call:
Tap the Speed Call key.
To dial a Speed Call number:
Press
.
Press FCN then press the shortcut key of the desired speed call number.
To store a Speed Call number:
Press MENU.
Press Supr.
Press No until "Personal Keys?" appears.
Press Yes.
Press FCN.
Press the "Down" button on the left side of the handset to highlight an UNUSED KEY.
Press the "Select" button located on the left side of the handset (middle button) to select the key.
Press Chng.
Press Yes.
Do one of the following:
To enter a new number, dial the number.
To enter the last number dialed, press FCN and then press 4.
To clear the existing number, do nothing.
If you want to number to be private, press Priv.
Press Save.
Press and hold
to
power off the phone. Then press
to power the phone back on. You must power the phone off and then
on again to update the phone menu with the label for the speed call
key.
